Sustainability

The provenance and traceability of all my fabrics and their ingredients is very important to me. Every hat is made slowly and by hand. This means my hat and cap production is perfect for discerning customers who are looking for long lasting garments. Each piece is all about the craft

My aim is to make my hats as sustainably as possible. I buy UK produced fabrics to keep the product miles low and have now started weaving my own Surrey Tweed fabrics for posh and casual hats and caps.

I also print and dye bed linens to make into beautiful sunhats with SPF 50 linings. These bed linens are repurposed so they take on a beautiful new life!

Ultimately, I will use all fabrics that I have woven myself and where practical, will use my handspun yarns from locally sourced fleeces.

All my waste bits of fabric, yarns and offcuts are recycled into carpet underlay and my packaging is biodegradable and plastic free or is re-used.
